Introduction:

Jane's Realty is a strategy game with impressive graphics. The aim of the game is to purchase land and develop it. In return you make money. But a fine balance needs to be maintained between spending and making money, master this and you'll soon advance through the levels of this terrific game. You'll notice that even the welcome screen as shown in screen shot one, is attractive in it's colouring and form. There presented in a clear format are a number of buttons covering the usual in game management features. The 'Player', button allows the whole family to enjoy there own person profiles and user names. You can compare your progress with your friends in the 'Scores' section. The 'Help' section provides a detailed graphical explanation of the finer points of game play. 'Option' allows you to set the sound, music and screen parameters to your comfort level. Finally the 'Start' button does what it says... So lets start level one...

Level 1:

As with all good games you need a good storyline, and Jane's Realty is no exception. As you enter level one, you'll notice the story line (take a look at screen shots two and three) is set out in a nicely presented storyboard fashion. Taking the time to read this certainly prepares the player for an enriched gaming experience. From the game entry map (seen in screen shot four) you will see the route you'll take on your epic entrepreneurial journey. Starting at 'South village', you'll get acquainted with all the basic game play actions in an easy and gentle manner. Your position on the map and levels completed are conveniently highlighted to make it very visible. Press 'Play' to begin the fun... Each level will describe the goal of the level. For level one, you'll notice you need to build a water tower and an electric power station (visible in screen shot five). Purchase of an area of land is achieved simply by clicking on the area desired (screen shot six). The sale price is clearly displayed over the parcel of land. Once purchased you next need to build something. Click on 'Building' to do this (illustrated in screen shot seven). Now you'll notice your building choices are presented at the bottom of the screen with there associated price tags (screen shot nine). Choose a building and then point to the land area you want it built on. A single click actions your request. Now sit back and enjoy your workmen scurry to build your purchased property (demonstrated in screen shot ten). Your next goal will appear in the bottom right-hand corner, in this case a water tower (screen shot eleven). Repeat the previous steps with this building will have it constructed in no time (screen shot twelve).
